#wordpress installaion

WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS) that enables its user to create a website and web applications. Installation of this WordPress requires certain software that comes in package known as WAMP server, LAMP server, XAMPP server. Here i have explained how to install a WordPress on a local server (WAMP) in your system.

Download and Installation Of WAMP server

1.)  Download and install WAMP server (Windows / Apache / mySQL / PHP – all in one bundle for Windows Operating System)

2.) Start the WAMP server after installing the software from the above link. The WAMP icon will appear on the task bar as shown in the beow picturehaving Green Colour Symbol.

       If the symbol didn't appear in green means the server wasn't online.so you want to do following two steps to make it ONLINE.

           1.)  right click the symbol 

           2.)  In the bottom of the window you can see the PUT ONLINE option. you want to enable it. then the the SERVER color RED will change into Green.

3)     Now go to your browser and type http://localhost in the URL.

4)     A page will open up. In that click on “phpMyAdmin” which is present on the lower left.

5)     Now the home page of phpMyAdmin will open up. We will have to create a database. So click on the Database as shown below.

6)     After clicking on the database, type in the desired database name. Here I have chosen the name as “techstumbling” and click on create.

7)     Now your database has been created. Just note down this name in a piece of paper. It will be required in the later steps to link the WordPress to the database.

8)     Download and unzip the latest word press software from the below link

   Now Wordpress 3.6 is available

9)     The downloaded file unzip to a folder named as wordpress.. Copy and paste this directory into your root web server directory, that is where do u have installd your WAMP SERVER. for example if u have installed the WAMP SERVER in C Drive,

Open the c drive, click on wamp folder , and  then click on the www folder present in it.

                           i) c:wamp/www

                         ii)Copy and paste the wordpress folder in this “www” file.

                       iii) So you now have a directory at c:wamp/www/wordpress

10) Now open your browser and type http://localhost/. A page will open up as shown below. In that Now Can see Below YOUR PROJECTS  Wordpress will appear.

11) Now Click that WordPress and then u can see the following page. Click Create Configuration Button in that Page.

12) After that  you will see the new page which describes about configuring  database for your wordpress Blog or Site. In that page Click Lets Go button.

13) Now you will see the database configuration page. in this page you have to do following steps

       1) Type database name which has been created by you.

       2) Type username . it shouldn't be empty. you can type  root.

       3) Then password. right now we haven't specify any password for MYSQL. so the feel must be EMPTY. if you use any password for MYSQL  then use that password.

       4) The database host field must be use  localhost.

       5) Then the table prefix field you can fill any new input otherwise leave it is by predefined value.

14) Now you almost completed all the process. after submit the run the install page will appear. Clicking Run The Install buton.

15) Then you have to fill the following basic needs for your WordPress Blog or Site.

16) Now you see the below page click log in to enter onto your WordPress blog or site.
