Is it vegan? This is a great list that'll tell you whether or not a fabric is vegan. 

Although not every product is wool-free, most are at Urban Outfitters, and they don't sell any fur products. Here's a link to their page of sweaters. You can shop online, or see if there's a store near you by scrolling to the bottom of their main page. 

Many stores have vegan sweaters, but like foods, it requires label reading. Sadly, many stores still carry fur, making it even harder to shop ethically. For example, LuLu's has a section dedicated to vegan shoes, yet still carries products containing angora fur. It's up each person to decide how they want to handle this. Do you support them for offering vegan shoes, which is important and possibly preventing others from purchasing leather ones, and not buy anything else from them, or boycott them entirely? It's a question each person has to answer for themselves, and one that hopefully sparks an important conversation.   

If you want a store you know is ENTIRELY vegan, look no further than Alternative Outfitters! I've gotten their clothes and boots before–– they hold up really well and are well worth the money. Take a look around their website. They don't have sweaters, but they do have coats and boots.
