Sowon/Sinb - Soulmate AU where you can only see colours once you meet your soulmate. Until then, everything is black and white.
i wrote this with the idea of gfriend not happening, but only professionally
- for the longest time, sowon had more or less given up on finding her soulmate, focusing on her studies and being a babysitter instead
- sinb had very little interest in the whole soulmate business, preferring dancing and hanging out with friends
- their first meeting was an awkward first meeting, the two first met each other after attending pristin’s first concert
- sowon had been looking for nayoung backstage when she caught sight of another girl (presumed to be someone’s friend) hanging around nearby
- in a literal blink of an eye, the college student’s world was dipped in colors and finding nayoung was a forgotten objective
- excited over finally finding her soulmate, sowon silently walked over before getting sinb’s attention and introducing herself
- the tomboy, meanwhile, is initially confused when the taller girl taps her on the shoulder and starts a conversation
- confusion quickly becomes surprise and wonder as sinb suddenly sees colors the moment she looks at sowon
- meeting their respective friends from pristin is long forgotten (sorry nayoung & kyulkyung!) once the two confirm they’re each other’s newfound soulmate
- but bc they just barely met, wonb agree to go out for food and get to know each other better
- it’s awkward, what with shy smiles and teasing when they figure out each other’s age, although sinb’s teasing + infectious laughter quickly make the mood easier on themselves
- soon enough, the two quickly finish their food and conversation, leaving them to swap phone numbers before parting ways
- and as they’re leaving, wonb can only think of how beautiful the world looks now they’ve finally brought color into each other’s life
- sinb later catches herself smiling on the way home when reading sowon’s text: [hey there~ thanks for making me smile earlier, i really like your laugh ♡]
- it’s not her best attempt, but sinb replies with the most honest and sweetest thing she could think of at the moment: [and i really like your smile♡]
- despite being far away from each other, the two can feel the other smiling and blushing in response to the compliment
- and it’s only the beginning of something beautiful and colorful
