it just makes me slightly weepy that obi-wan reverts to his deeply instinctual lightsaber forms once he's back in the rhythm of combat, once he's back on a mission, once his goals are clear and his path is fixed. all he needed was a clean and clear problem to solve, and an enemy to fight who wasn't someone he loved, and then we see his bladework clean up, the first glimpses of general kenobi, master jedi, the master of soresu. his potential grace was always lingering below his bowed back, and he looks so young in that moment as he spins his lightsaber back to ready position, and i can just so clearly see youngling and padawan obi-wan drilling those same stances over and over until the correct angle and posture was embedded in his muscle memory, until it was so deeply written that a decade-long lapse in practice couldn't erase it. it's just like the practice of meditation, or the belief in the Force, all the parts of his childhood in the Temple that he still carries with him, all the intangible parts that belong to him because he is a living, breathing member of his culture, one of the last, best warriors of his order. he's returning to form in all senses, and it is a beautiful thing to see.
