I don’t see any flaw in his logic. Respect has to be earned. I guess this statement could be a bit controversial for a society like South Korea where age plays a huge part in how you interact with others. If people are older, you automatically owe them respect because they’ve been longer in the wolrd than you, even if it’s by a year or just a few months. And if you’re the youngest in a group or a crowd, from what I’ve seen in kdramas and in kpop groups, you can find yourself in a position that looks a little bit like a servant.

And regardless of his position of power over him (lol because last episode he ordered him to move aside just because he was his boss and I was like “dude? you’re outside the office and it’s after work, you don’t have any right”) or his age, BM Lee is an idiot who has failed spectacularly at being a good human and a decent boyfriend.

So, no matter the position of power or the money involved, those things don’t make you deserving of respect. It’s how you treat peoplew what does. From HyunSeung’s POV and everyone’s I think, SongAh’s ex is a piece of trash because he didn’t respect the supposedly most important person in his life (or anyone affected by his lies), which was SongAh.
