So after she gets reformed in EG her magic canonically changed to red in the show(it was the blue/cyan color in the movie when she was evil, then when she was a pony again it was red). So I thought since her magic changed color why not something else to make it more obvious that something happened? idk if I'm explaining this well.

I like to think at first she might have hid it with a contact lense, like in the second EG movie when everyone still hated her, but probably after that she stopped and realized it's a part of her now.
