Alchemy had become one of Paoloâs most favorite pastimes over a very short period of time, and finding other people who liked discussing alchemy and magic and the like made Paolo rather excited. Thatâs why him and Melody got along so well.
She didnât just disregard Paoloâs actions or rationale as âsillyâ, she was respectful of his endeavors and supported him. And often times, Melody was able to pick up on the fact that he successfully brewed another potion right upon seeing him. She was brilliant like that.
Hopefully when Melody had seen the colossal bird trailing behind him, sheâd be able to deduce again that heâd made yet another successful potion and shower him with praise. ... Paolo didnât like to admit it, but getting praise from Melody made his heart feel very light. He didnât get much praise from his mother or his father, so he was happy that someone would acknowledge his improvement.
Guinny wouldnât fit through the door, so he supposed heâd have to put on a bit of fanfare, coming into the Sorcery Emporium. âHello, Is Melody in?â
