Danny often spent his time near water, so to be farther inland was nice. Danny laid in an open field on the side of the road, staring up at the sky, arms crossed behind his head for support. The clouds moved lazily across the canvas of blue, as sluggish as Danny was feeling. Not that he was sleepy, mind you. But he felt like he could just… Stay here, for a bit. 

He was tired from his last voyage, and on top of that, he and Kathy had had some friction lately. They’d sort of talked it out, but some lingering injuries had yet to heal and would begin to ache if Danny pressed on them too hard. Maybe that was why he’d opted to take a break here, just enjoying the warmth of the day, and the nice breeze. 

He heard steps of someone on the road, but ignored it for a while, before turning his head slightly, just enough to check that it wasn’t anyone that he needed to pay mind to.

Lily let her eyes wander as she made her way to the shrine. The sky looked so beautiful and birds were chirping in the trees..Without knowing, Lily wandered off the path and...right over someone. Her face was abruptly acquainted with grass while her legs rested on the poor soul who she tripped over.

It took her a minute to register what had just happened before she ungracefully pushed herself up onto her feet. Her faced was flushed as she tried to bring herself to meet eyes with the man. 

It wasn’t uncommon for Fiersome to hear songs around the shrine. In fact it was usually a daily occurrence. Today was no different as he heard one of the priestesses singing her hymns to her dragon. He walked along the path to see who the voice belonged to and saw one of his brother’s priestesses. 

Lily, he recalled, thinking back to the employee documents he’d read through for the shrine. 

He leaned against a tree, listening to the words and wondering if Terrable was as well. If he were being kind he’d admit she had a nice voice, but it wasn’t in his nature to be as such. Instead, he waited for her to notice him which didn’t take too long. 

“Considering I’m the High Priest of Fiersome, I don’t think so,” Fiersome said with a smirk. To think he’d be making wishes to anyone was preposterous, but he had an alias to uphold. 

“I’m Firenze d’Oro, owner of this shrine,” he introduced himself to the woman. Apparently she wasn’t privy to that knowledge which made him curious. While he’d normally make a comment about it, he’d extend a gesture of goodwill towards his brother’s followers. At least until they’ve bothered him otherwise. 

A pretentious smile spread across his lips as he spoke, “And you are Lily Brunel. Priestess of the the Land Dragon, Terrable.” 

The High Priest! How did I not know that? ...No wait I remember! I met with him once, but I haven’t seen him since I don’t think. 

Lily wasn’t sure how she felt about someone owning a shrine. She definitely didn’t feel right being paid for her duty as a priestess, but truthfully she needed the money.

Elli walked along the Ceto Boardwarlk aimlessly, enjoying the sights as night began to fall. Lights were already dazzling in the twilight and everyone was abuzz with anticipation for the fireworks show. People were everywhere along the boardwalk and Elli was beginning to doubt her decision to watch the show from such a popular place.

Especially when she was watching alone.

She didn’t have any plans with anyone and Granny Ellen had forced her out of the house, demanding Elli to enjoy herself. So, here she was alone among a crowd of people. So many others looked like they were with a group of people or someone special for the show, laughing and having a great time.

She watched a few couples wistfully and subsequently not where she was going. This resulted in her bumping into someone head on much to her embarrassment.

“Oh gosh,” she said, taking a step back as her cheeks started to flush, “I am so sorry!”

Lily continued walking around, casually looking for her sisters. They probably already had plans. Maybe she should have just stayed where she was and try to enjoy herself for once.

It looked like everyone in Leuda and Arcadia had come together at the boardwalk to watch the show. And everyone came with their special someone or family. Everyone except Lily. 

She mindlessly made her way through the crowd while watching the fireworks. Her carelessness quickly showed its consequence as she collided with someone. 

Matai wasn’t here to watch the fireworks.

No, he was here to pickpocket.

Matai leaned against the end of a bench, looking out at the large crowd gathered at the boardwalk. It seemed that the fireworks would start soon. Which meant it was almost time for him to have some fun. Practice his pickpocketing skills. See what loot he could gather up. After all, it was easy to go through the pockets of those distracted by fireworks. 

Matai kept his face neutral as he took a step away from his spot, taking his hands out of his pockets to see exactly what he could grab.

Lily wandered through the scattered crowd, looking for a familiar face with no luck. It wouldn’t be too bad to watch the fireworks alone, right? Finding an open spot on the boardwalk, she got settled and looked up to enjoy the show.

Violet walked up to her eldest sister’s room at the Three Sister’s Inn and knocked, waiting patiently. She wasn’t sure if her sister was out working or not. Or if she was out doing something else. Maybe Lily was giving out flowers of her own. If she didn’t answer…she would just leave it with the hotel staff to deliver later.

Thankfully, the door opened, and out popped Lily.

“H-Hello!” Violet greeted happily, quickly fetching her own little bundle of flowers, “H-Happy Flower Festival, Lily!” The bundle was made up of one red alstroemeria, one blue lisianthus, and one white carnation she grew herself. All meaning friendship, appreciation and life-long bond, and luck, respectively. 

For some reason, Lily got out of work early today. She didn’t bother to ask, just happy to have some free time. Once she got to her room, she tried to think of what to do. An envelope on her table (along with an advertisement about a sale on flowers) reminded her that she was overdue on her inn bill. She had to do that right away before she forgot again.

Now where did she keep her savings again? Oh yes, her own personal bank under her mattress. Just as she was about to look through it, there was a knock on the door. Lily rushed over and opened the door. 

“Well, hello there Violet.” Lily could not be more happy to see her youngest sister. Before she could invite her in, Violet pulled out a bundle of flowers.

I guess I’m just stuck like this until the potion (hopefully) wears off. Trying to talk to Odette didn’t work out exactly as planned. Mostly because Lily couldn’t talk. I’m a cat, what was I thinking? After meowing desperately Odette for a while, she gave Lily some scraps and kicked her out. I guess I should just enjoy being a cat before I turn back…if I do turn back.

Georgia went foraging, critter catching and then to the Private Oasis to get rekt by a Pink Dragon. :(
