Brontide - The low rumbling of distant thunder.
Sirius lounged lazily on the common room couch in front of the fire. The whole day had been a rather sleepy one, and now he couldnât even go outside for a quick fly with James, it was pouring rain and he could just make out the sound of thunder starting to roll in. Lightning would be following soon he was sure. Sighing, Sirius turned to look at Ronnie, and moved his legs off of her lap.
âLetâs go upstairs, Iâm bored.â He whined softly, while Ronnie looked at him in amusement.
âLike youâll be any more entertained up there?â She asked, knowing he wouldnât.
âWe can open up the window and watch the lightning, and listen to the thunder. I know youâd like that. Besides, youâve already finished the Transfiguration, and I donât feel like starting it yet. So thereâs nothing else to do.â Ronnie just rolled her eyes, but got up to follow Sirius upstairs anyway, she just hoped he knew that he wouldnât be getting a copy of her paper. It was about time he learned the consequences of procrastination.
Sirius opening the window, jumping back as rain blew into his face, âI suppose I should have expected that..â He sighed, wiping off his face as a streak of lightning lit up the sky. âExcellent, weâre just in time.â He told his friend with a grin, flopping on Jamesâ bed, as it was closest to the window. He scooted over to let Ronnie sit beside him, and looked outside for a moment, maybe the thunder and his knowledge of where James kept his chocolate bars would be just enough to get Ronnie to let him have a look at her paper. Just for a starting point of course.
