Roman tilted his head, eyes roaming over the other man. He took in every detail and a few conclusions came to his mind right away. "The weather this time of year plays havoc with such things," Roman began benignly. "After losing power a few times I had a generator installed to avoid it." He might have had humble beginnings but there was no denying he enjoyed the finer things in life now --- and he refused to sit in the dark for anything.
"The boundaries of my property are not clearly marked --- an error on my part perhaps." He was willing to take the blame for leading the man astray --- if the man was actually astray. But something (instinct) told Roman otherwise.
He finally stepped into the room, his hands in the pockets of a suit that cost a great more than what the other man was wearing. He stayed there, leaving the distance between them. "A terrible night to be out and about --- yet you look as if you are barely worse for the wear. Tell me, did you buy those coveralls just to make the ruse seem more plausible or ---? If so, I would suggest that you take the time to make them look worn next time."
