ngl i havenāt had time to watch s2 of sense8 yet but still i feel like a lot of ppl miss the point when it comes to kala and wolfgangās relationship
like itās not a simple case of kala being The Sweetheart(TM) to wolfgangās Bad Boy(TM). itās not a simple case of kala being the light to wolfgangās dark
the point is that most other ppl SEE them that way. most ppl in kalaās life look at her and see the Good Daughter, the Good Wife, and thatās what kala TRIES to be. she tries to make rajan and her family happy by marrying rajan even though she doesn't love him. she tries to put her own happiness aside for that. and then you have wolfgang, a delinquent from a dynasty of criminals. ppl look at him and expect him to be the Bad Guy. they expect him to take over the family business. and wolfgang internalises those expectations
but kalaās line in the christmas special summarises it perfectly:Ā āyou have something good and beautiful hidden inside of you, just as i have something dark and wicked inside of me.ā thereās a part of wolfgang thatās fiercely loyal and loving towards his friends, a part of him that wants to be a better person, and thereās also a part of kala thatās cunning and angry. and the reason they gravitate towards each other is that where others only see the Good Wife and the Bad Guy, wolfgang and kala see the whole person -- the good and the bad -- and love each other still. they allow each other to express the parts of themselves they usually repress

Which line was it? I can come with multiple possibilities just off the top of my head.
It was in the finale of season 2, when Wolfgang telling Kala thatĀ ā...you're the last thought I have before I sleep,...(and) you're the first thought I have when I wake.ā And I was aAAAAAAAAHHH. In iterationās fic, Reese also thought about the fact that he liked Finch to be the first person he talked to in the morning and last person he talked to at night; and he knew that Finchās voice was the first thingĀ he wanted to hear in the morning and the last thing he wanted to hear at night. (And the line fits so much in both situation???? OMG)
And yes this show has so many wonderful lines! Another one made me ahAHHH was Will asking RileyĀ āHave I mentioned how in love with you I am?ā This show knew me too well. And, shipping aside, there were so many amazing conversations between all kinds of relationships. Theyāre like a list of my readingĀ aesthetic!
