What do you do to try and get the muse to roleplay a character?
I have to be alone... or generally alone... or have enough privacy that if I have any outward reaction it would not bother me that other people are around.
There are times when re-reading some threads and some answer/headcanon posts help. And depending on the scene would either be the general playlist I have saved.

Sometimes yes... I usually have a few set playlist that I know I’ll be invigorated by when I write. But dedicated playlists not so much.

☂ - Overcast and/or rainy. At first it’s because both agree with me in terms of temperature. And I like water in general so getting soaked isn’t an issue, unless I have important stuff with me. Though recently, since college, my eyes have gotten a bit sensitive to light, it’s not incapacitating... just an inconvenience.

Me: Our hearts.
Friend: :v
Me: What?
Friend: I don't eat Banana Bud(Puso ng saging), what more your hearts... ahahah
Meh: Ours have iron so you won't grow weary.

At times I would dream...
There are times when sleep would claim me and dreams would start to play…
Once it went something like this:
My eyes would open to the sight of beige paint. It remains there for a moment, thoughtful.

Silently I hover a hand to touch yet hold back. It’s not right.

At times it ends there… but the feeling does not. It might never stop.
Perhaps there is something to gain even at this age. The way human society changes and yet stays the same as they struggle to answer the questions of their ways. Questions about their very being. They are a curious species, much like we are, but... They are even more drastic due to their singular lifespan. Living for five-hundred-and-thirty years. Living for more than what they do... It can become boring, repetitive and as one gets older traditions muddle as you try to keep up with a rapid world that can condemn and decimate others as much as they do each other. Certainly this long life is not much of a gift. To witness those you care for fade as time seems to stand ever still. They may wish for this longer life, maybe they would do better. Maybe they will hold on to their purpose. Maybe emotions, knowledge, wisdom, and power will not make them feel like a powerless fool waiting to end. -Yukino, age 530

Function
to aid in concealing and/or regulating the use or appearance of natural abilities such as: increased strength, magical abilities, minor physical changes and the like.
Tradition (hakuouki verse)
• Yukino rarely uses these but keeps them in a container on her person majority of the time.
• She wears them only whenever she feels unable to regulate her abilities.
• 3 limiter items: a charm, a hair pin/comb and a scarf.
Modern (modern verse)
• Yukino always wear these.
• Her meditation is also one way to get used to using the items and actually controlling the abilities.
• 2 limiter items: a pair of hair pins and clip on ear rings.
