The French revolution burst onto the European stage, everywhere its effects were felt. In July 1791, the French revolution was celebrated, with military pomp, in Belfast, by armed volunteers and townspeople.

Grave of Matilda Wilson, widow of Irish Republican #WolfeTone, at #GreenWoodCemetery in #Brooklyn. After her husband was captured in the #1798IrishRebellion and died, she lived in exile and settled in Brooklyn, where she rests today.
