Emma wasn’t fond of the fact that her parents had taken the ‘reformed’ evil queen into the castle either.  Her guards’ words at her side quelled her sense of paranoia and she looked at him.  He would know, wouldn’t he, the depth of her deceit?  The fact that they had taken her in and so easily seemingly forgiven her after her exile -- a story of wandering in the forest and finding herself and forgiveness, was it so simple -- raised so many concerns for her after the stories she’d grown up on, but she knew he’d been forced into her service while protecting her mother.

okay no I follow some canon - SOME. but definitely not all. there are huge chunks of David’s canon I completely disregard, and James… well, we know which bit of his canon I largely ignore coughSeason5Bcough

9. best scene featuring your muse? (chapter, film, episode)

For David, I’m torn between jousting on the back of his truck with a plank of wood, or the pretty bastard that is dark!Charming. The jousting probably wins, tbh. I can’t with him.

For James, it’s either bby James passed out in an alley after eating too much chocolate (bc if that isn’t foreshadowing for his adult life I don’t know what is), or his utter lack of fucks given when George walks in on him and Jack. That’s my boy.

♢ What’s your opinion on different interpretations of your muse?

Each to their own.

That’s my general rule, that I repeat to myself whenever I see something in an interpretation that doesn’t match my own - because we’re all allowed our different opinions or headcanons. If we all thought the same way, it’d make for some very boring interactions. A little variety never hurt anyone (although from the way I’ve seen people act across multiple fandoms, you’d think having a slightly different interpretation was a Serious Offence).

Do I always like other interpretations? No. See: James. Do I always agree with headcanons about the muses I play? Not at all (HP houses, anyone?). But just as someone is allowed to have that interpretation/headcanon, I am allowed to dislike it. That’s the way the world is.
