The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Embassy in Manila hosted a special reception last August 3, 2018 for its partners and exhibitors at the USA Pavilion of the World Food Expo (WOFEX) 2018. The trade and networking event was held at the Taft Ballroom of the five-star Conrad Manila and The Hungry Kat was proud to be one of the media partners invited to grace this occasion. U.S. Embassy Manila Deputy Chief of Mission Michael S. Klecheski welcomed me once again to enjoy the best of American food (Read: The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines Hosts The Great American Barbecue 2018) and it is always a delight to see him and his friendly staff.

The WOFEX-USA Pavilion Exhibitors’ Night and Trade Networking Reception is a venue for the USDA to showcase various U.S. food and beverage products such as U.S. beef, pork, lamb, poultry, seafood, dried fruits, sauces, fruit juices, craft beers, wines, and many more. This came on the penultimate day of WOFEX 2018 which happened from August 1-4, 2018 and included a USA Pavilion that featured high-quality imported products from the U.S. WOFEX is the most attended exhibition in the country for food and beverage products, attracting more than 50,000 culinary professionals, restaurteurs, hoteliers, and retailers every year.
