Glad I got to watch the semifinals and the finals this morning on @olympicchannel after spending several hours in the ER w/ my mom last night. Not what I had in mind for my Friday night. I’m not even sure if that means I can’t perform today because I missed dance rehearsals last night, but mom called me at work panicked saying her blood pressure’s “over 200 high” and that I needed to come home ASAP. Glad all her tests at the hospital came out okay. Her sodium was low but not to the point where she needed to be hospitalized like last year. Part of the reason I’m sure a hardcore curling fangirl now is because all I did at the hospital last year and once I would get home and unable to sleep was watch the Olympics. My mom was confined for almost two weeks the same time as the Olympics and that’s when I really started paying super close attention to curling. The rest is history. For now fangirling and actually playing in league helps distract me from barely hanging on by a thread. When it starts bringing me more heartache and disappointments than joy, maybe I’ll learn to let go and move on. I wish we had the money years ago to get Norman Reedus trained to be a service animal. Like legit trained w/ certifications and a snazzy jacket to wear. He knew something was wrong w/ my mom who apparently had “been shaking since 2pm” before calling me at work. He was whining/crying and would not leave my mom’s side. I know there’s dogs for people w/ diabetes and seizures, maybe Norman could’ve been a #hypertension #hyponatremia detection dog...
