Alder Hey Childrenās Hospital is one of Europeās busiest children hospital requested a feedback hub to collect data from staff and visitors to further improve the hospitalās facilities; in response to the brief, WMB Studio designed the Vox Pod that is adaptable and flexible. The structure is inspired by a radiused and extruded equilateral triangle, divided into three equal modules. The podās segments enables ease of movement and reconstruction of individual segments; either as a connected pair or as a complete confined capsule. In addition, the capsule also serves as a mini-meeting room and informal conversation space. Acoustic foam is used as a unique functional, eloquent skin on the exterior; while internally birch ply is seen combined with warm tones of fabrics to offer a comfortable and relaxing space. Further revisions of the design is planned for this year.
