piggybacking off my coming out post from earlier - i can also just see them very nonchalantly coming out too like no grand gesture they just keep acting insane about each other like they've been doing, and they move in together and adopt a dog, but everyone just knows. because something shifted. something small that just can't have plausible deniability. like maybe there's a more intimate (or joint) photo dump posted, or maybe they walk out of SAP holding hands, maybe Will puts his hand on the small of Mack's back as they sign things for fans. like they just stop caring. And everyone wants to know (of course) so everyone keeps asking, and being the gatekeepers that they are they still keep everything locked down and private, still using their generic 'yeah we're close', 'he's a special person', 'we spend every second together' and drew and randy absolutely gush when they score yet another magical goal because they know.

I firmly believe that Will was Mack’s bisexual awakening and it freaked him out a little. I think they probably drunkenly made out one night and then didn’t talk about it for a long time because Mack didn’t know what to do with the feelings he was having for another guy.

i'm in the camp they cuddled in bed taking a nap after the olympics and it was the first time they were so physically close. definitely maybe became aware of how good it felt to be held

I think they had been flirting with each other since the beginning of their rookie season and things kept building, but I think they became official by October 2025. Everything about NYC screamed couple on and off the ice to me. I believe it happened before that trip - most likely training camp. I think they were on a couch together, made eye contact and just went for it, as it was a natural progression of their relationship. I think they both leaned in at the same time.

I think they were goofing around roughhousing with each other probably after going out drinking and it got kind of heated and one of them impulsively kissed the other. It sounds like something from a movie but I could really see that happening with these two with how touchy feely they’ve always been. Wrestling -> sudden weirdly intense eye contact -> lowered inhibitions and alcohol induced horniness-> making out sloppy style

The perspective of Mack having a harder time coming to terms with liking guys hits so hard.

I feel like Will kinda already knew he was gay, or into guys (I say gay bc he kinda just has that vibe?) and Mack was the one who had more trouble coming to terms with it and saying he’s into guys because he never has been. His bi awakening was Will, he’s always only liked girls so why is he thinking the same things he thinks about girls but…about Will?
