WRITING PROMPT 3
Select 3 characters (must not include the one you wrote about last week). Explain how that character takes on the role of a Loyalist, a Patriot, or a profiteer. Since you are writing about 3 characters, please make sure to choose one Loyalist, one Patriot, and one profiteer, and not two or three of the same kind. Use specific examples from both your American Visions (if you have it) and My Brother Sam is Dead. As you write, focus on how each characters words, thoughts (if we are allowed into his/her thoughts), and actions align him/her with the Loyalists, Patriots, and profiteers. You need to only write one paragraph per character, and one paragraph at the end in which you contrast and compare the three characters.
If you are missing one or both of the earlier writing prompts... they can be found below. You can email them to me by next Friday (11 October). You do not need to bring them to class on Monday if you did not receive the email last week or the week before. You only need to hand in WRITING PROMPT 3 on Monday.
