Though Rhodey has, in particular, come to realize that he seems to have a habit of taking in half crazy, broken white girls but, honestly, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Vision learning to be truly human right alongside Bucky who is coming off of 70 years of torture and abuse.

Toni teaching both of them that they’re special just the way they are.  That Vision shouldn’t try to be human any more than he’s comfortable with just for other’s sake.  That he should just be Vision and that Toni and the IronFam will love him no matter what.

Toni showing Bucky her scars and telling her no, stop, your scars don’t make you less of a woman, your past doesn’t make you less of a woman no matter what they did to you.  You’re alive and that’s all that matters.  Femininity, womanhood, is whatever you decide it is for you.  Even if that isn’t silk and lipstick and overt sexuality like it is for Toni.

Rose Tyler finds Martha Jones after a few dozen universe hops. She’s made it a point to get in and get out if she stumbles into a universe without the Doctor. And yet, Martha Jones makes her linger. 

There’s something about the dark eyes and bright smile and strong hands that help her up, that rub her back when she cries, that brushes her tears from her cheeks and whispers, “It hurts to love him, I know.”

And maybe it’s that she knows the universe will break its teeth trying to chew Martha Jones up and spit her out, but Rose wants to stay with the woman who holds her tight, who knows what it’s like to be left behind, who kisses her with shaking hands and tentative lips. She wants to stay wrapped up in sheets of a universe that don’t feel right but in her arms where it does feel right--where it feels like a safe harbor.

The morning Rose Tyler leaves her behind, the day she hops and sprints back to her universe for another try (because as much as she cares for--maybe even loves Martha--her heart beats in double time for him), Martha settles between her legs and kisses her inner thighs and soothes a hand over her quivering abdomen and sends her off with the aftermath of a shaking orgasm--courtesy of searching fingers and broad swipes of her tongue.

amanda holden was born in 1971, which means she was 18 in ‘89. which means that, if we assume that the current TWW is taking place in the present, and if we assume that pippa went to college directly after graduating from whatever witching academy she went to, and if we assume that she immediately went for an education degree, and if we assume that witching education runs parallel to non-magical education and it took about four years for her to obtain that certification (wow that’s a lot of assumptions, isn’t it?), then guess what? 3 of her 4 years of higher education occurred in the 90s

which doesn’t even consider the fact that she might have more years of study or higher degrees, or that the only people we’ve seen outside of magical culture are mildred, julie, and the neighbor from the pilot, which doesn’t exactly give us a very broad idea of what year it might actually be based on fashions, etc, not to mention that the show definitely doesn’t line up with real time (most shows at least try to air their christmas episodes near christmas and so forth but tww just aired a halloween ep at the end of march soooooooo....)

the long and short of it being until proven otherwise pippa went to college whenever the fuck i want her to have gone to college in my creations, and even then, well, they’re just potentially off-canon creations

Oh man. I’ve never really been part of the Great Debate about it, so I’ve not really had to think out my response to this one before. Let me say first of all, I appreciate what Moffat wanted to do with them. That he knew there were kids out there watching the show who couldn’t afford official DW merchandise~ but could probably find a pair of sunglasses to pretend to be the Doctor with. That’s thoughtful and admirable.

Within the show itself...I feel like I’m mixed. I don’t think it could have worked with any other Doctor than Twelve, since he’s sort of got his Old Man Trying to be a Rockstar vibe. But it still comes off a bit odd. For one thing, they’re sort of bracketed by Eleven’s sonic and then the new sonic they gave him in series...10, I think? Like there was a scene in Twice Upon a Time where he used both his screwdriver and his sunglasses one after the other and it was so bizarre. Why does he need both? There were a couple scenes, too, in Pyramid at the End of the World iirc where he like touches the sunglasses then touches a screen and then the sunglasses again and then puts the info from the first screen on a different screen and it made no sense? How are his fingers a wireless conduit for whatever wizadry is going on with these sunglasses?? How do they work???
