The hot flash at the window sill not included🥵

A week ago right now I was a nervous wreck. Refreshed from a forced nap, jacked up on coffee, and trying to get the lighting just right for the maximum 1.16 viewing experience. All the while knowing I’d be terrified of what I saw.

Now it’s over.

I haven’t watched a single episode in 4 days. I haven’t gone this long without watching an episode since February. But I’m forcing it this time. I need to at least TRY to move on.

*sigh*

I am still re-reading though… I mean, I can’t quit them completely so right now in my rotation I’m like ¾ of the way through DIA. (LJG first appearance. *squee*)

This is my 4th series reread in the past year. All 8 “big books” and 1 of the LJG novels - I’ve read them all twice - except The Scottish Prisoner. I have to read TSP after Voyager or my feels don’t fall right.

What I’m trying to say is (as if my tumblr content isn’t indication enough) that it’s not going well.

This “moving on” business. I mean, HOW CAN I MOVE ON?!?

Sure I watch and love (mostly) Orphan Black and Game of Thrones. I like other shows too. I like other books, a LOT of other books actually. I mean what have I even become? In 2012 I read 115 books. In 2013 I read 125. And for the first 3 months of 2014 I read almost 75. Then, having been keeping up with the upcoming Outlander series and knowing I stopped reading the series in book 5 about 10 years ago (The Fiery Cross aka The Endless Gathering and Other North Carolina Fraser Adventures) I decided to start at the beginning and forge threw the series so when MOBY came out and then the show I would be current.

It was a good dream.

But it started this avalanche that hasn’t stopped.

I mean, I have an obsessive personality. I KNOW THIS. But even for me this is beyond extreme.

*double sigh*

I blame Sam Heughan completely.

Sam Heughan, SamCait, Jamie and Claire Fraser, Diana Gabaldon, RDM, Starz, Sony and all of you.

Who am I kidding? I’m a TAURUS. I only have myself to blame.

*le triple sigh*

I’m ok with that I guess, but what now? I have this to-be-read pile just accumulating but I don’t want anyone or anything but JAMMF in my reading brain space. I have shows in my Netflix queue. I have DVD boxed sets and satellite TV and I JUST CAN’T MOVE ON YET.

I mean, I just spent $39.02 for Emulsion on Blu-ray and I’m not even sure it won’t creep me out!
