About withertale my finest dude...
What are their thoughts on us the y/n, player, anomaly building grand things, just anywhere.
I mean i make nether highways and we put packed ice highways for speed. (My friends) Its like we touch and can control what can hurt them water, and they control lava which even a drop hurts us.
But even in said nether hubs are decorated nicely and are protected from ghasts.
Like one day one part of the nether is barren then suddenly it's carved out with stones and woods never seen before
Vines and greenery placed precariously with magic that doesn't let them die. (I call it players magical green thumb)
And even on the chase outside
Buildings, castles, creatures. Art.
I've terraformed areas of lands massive to be farms and growing green.
All because we settled somewhere. For unknown Purpouses.
How do they feel about it?
I know they're territorial over their land... but do they build?
What do they think of this funny player, human, anomaly. Who unchecked can create beauty from destruction and also destroy it again just to rebuild something else?
As long as you don't touch their territories? It's perfectly fine. Witherborn themselves do build- just nowhere where you can see it. It's beyond a certain layer of bedrock that opens up to a massive SOUL valley filled with mountains and buildings- blues, purples, reds, oranges and yellows fluttering and flicking around the place.
They'd probably find the Player more relatable. Maybe a be a little less hostile- providing they're not messing up other ecosystems or pushing out the piglin and wither skeleton populations
( They don't want them thinking they can cross into their territories )
I definitely feel like they'd be curious, too!
Could you do Witherborn Nightmare and Error quotes? (Separately, please and thank you)
I did Error Quotes so you can have Nightmare quotes :D
"Are you there, watchers? It's me, your bastard child."
"Being raised by cold eyes taught me not to cry."
"You are either; on my side, by my side, or in my way. Choose Wisely."
"You got a taste for blood while you were licking your own wounds."
How would the witherborn react to reader slowly giving them any flower from the overworld or uh how they say that the witherborn are the most pretties mob they ahve ever seen and tell them they love their soul too?
(I'm struggling english right now)
Well, assuming they were alright with you to begin with, they'll mostly be amused- but they won't take it. Most small living organisms they hold die! Including flowers
And you'd have to say that using words.
Most of them would fluster heavily, but a select few would respond in kind.
If you want specifics feel free to ask! :D
Random Witherborn Fact:
They like to nibble on shit. It's actually part of their whole affection-giving. Mindless lil' nibbles that don't even leave a mark. Teething, essentially, but never enough to cause any harm.
Their teeth are definitely weapons- more than capable of shredding, tearing, severing and dealing out the withering affect- but they're often more likely just going to be used to chew on things.

The Withers can disguise themselves?? Very cool!
This is a silly idea, but do you think it would take a second for their partner to recognise them in disguise? Like their partner sees them and is like "Oh, hi. I haven't seen you before." Before double taking and realising it was them.
Or like, they are fighting a bunch of skeletons and another one joins and starts helping and they almost too confused to keep fighting.
Very fun to think about! :]
Oh it would absolutely take their partner to recognise them- considering most of them can do the whole "witherborn-to-human-eque-creature" transformation.
. . . When they've been summoned initially in the overworld, at least.
Those who can transform are incredibly limited in their abilities until they shift back. So if they shift back, then they have to be very careful of any watersource around.
I bet you some of the boys will act as if they've never met you, either, for the reasoning of pranks.
How does one go about courting or being courted by Witherborn? I figure it be quite a messy process, seeing as most of the boys hunt humans.
Witherborn Courting is. . . weird. There's no specific or definite beginning-to-court traditions; or anything that was meant to be there hasn't been documented by any human source.
In all actuality, the courting ritual is quite simple. You give the other a weapon. This can either be by lodging it in their body somewhere (aka, you were attacking them and it got stuck) or it can be gifted by hand (much preferred).
It has to be returned, and the blade/axe would be required to be made out of netherite.
If returned, the one who has been gifted the blade (usually the Witherborn in most occasions when it comes to interspecies relationships) will then either give a sharp spine from their tail in response- or a wither rose.
Marriage is a lot more easy and simplistic.
But again; traditions will change from Witherborn to Witherborn, as they are no longer pack creatures.
Hello! Hope your day is going well!
This can be for either your Wither boys or the Avian boys, but in either case, if their partner was human there might be decent gaps in when they see each other again. (If I understand right, the Withers would typically prefer to stay in the Nether and the Avains have duties to preform for their flock.)
How would they react when they see their partner again? If they get lonely or miss them, how do they deal with it?
Thank you! (I hope your writs feel better, also! Take it easy when you can :] )
Why thank you! And I have been having a wonderful day!
I'll be answering this. . . semi-vaguely. Not super in depth but enough to give you a general understanding of how they'd feel.
With Witherborn, it's not always that they don't want to leave the Nether- it's usually that they can't. Unless they were initially summoned in the overworld, they will suffer extreme pain and burns from any form of water that touches them outside of the nether. Which means snow, water, ice, vapour, etc.
If they were summoned outside of it, that means they have this funky lil' ability to sort of "switch" between a more. . . skeleton-like creature and their usual witherborn self. Some even get human disguises.
Now, Witherborn are usually solitary creatures- save for a mate (or mates- it's not uncommon for them to have poly relationships) and maybe a couple kids.
But if that mate weren't to always be around, they would probably feel loneliness for the first time in their lives.
Killer, Error, Classic, Dream, and Swap are especially bad when it comes to missing their s/o. This does mean they will smother you in affection (in their own ways, as Error is still haphephobic here) as soon as you return.
Others like Nightmare, Horror, Fresh, Cross, Ink (who is a platonic mate) and Epic can go a bit longer without feeling too lonely, though they will still very muchly relish in your return and likely "kidnap" you for a while.
Dust, believe it or not, can actually go the longest without missing you. He'll still definitely remember you (and perhaps spiral down the thought process of "oh fuck did I do something wrong are they leaving me? are they even coming back?") but he isn't... overly lonely. He's used to being alone. He's been alone for a long while, after all- but whenever he's around others, they'll always comment that it seems as if he's missing someone. He always stands a bit to the side of the room as if he's making space for another someone to be. He doesn't get so much as lonely as he does melancholy and a bit bittersweet. When you return he'll be happy, but you won't notice too much more affection from him.
Make no mistake, he's definitely happy to have you back though.
( I'll reblonk this with the Avians' version later on)
