Got a call from someone at a nearby event saying their Sawbuck got stuck on a lamp post and they need help getting it down. I say, please elaborate. They just repeat themselves. I assume this is a prank but go out to see what's going on because I'm bored and it's a slow day. There is a sawbuck on the lamp post. They will not elaborate on how it got there. I am now staring at a sawbuck chilling on a lamp post without a care in the world. I do not know how to fix this. I need a raise.

Hello! It’s okay if you don’t want to answer this but I’m about to start reading THYP and I’m wondering if it’s going to extend beyond the Endgame timeline and eventually be kind of a fix-it? I really really loved Ulysses and how everything was canon up until it went beyond the timeline. Thanks for sharing your writing with us!

Hey nonnie! That is indeed the plan. That has been the plan since before endgame came out. believe it or not, the original starting point of THYP 7 was so much sadder? i was definitely prepared for an ending where steve was D-E-D dead and I’d have to figure out a way to resurrect the bastard. The ending that i got from endgame is like -- much easier to work with, actually. much more malleable.

There is going to be a fairly sizable timeskip between the end of Endgame and the beginning of THYP 7, because of my frankly bizarre obsession with canon compliance in this series. what i haven’t quite figured out yet is whether i need some kind of a bridge fic -- THYP 6.5 if you will -- to fill the gap. I keep trying to find Just The Right Prelude to carry you from the endgame ending to the story i really want to tell, but every time i think i’ve found it, a problem comes up and i have to chuck it in the darlings drawer and start from scratch. i talk a big game about writing nonsequentially but i have a Problem with actually, you know. Doing That.

i CAN say that THYP 7 will very likely be wish fulfillment of the Most Shameful Kind, for me personally. i’ll leave it to you to figure out what Shameful Wish Fulfillment looks like when i’m doing it for myself but i hope you all will enjoy it as much as i intend to
