So today on the way home from school i was explaining to my uneducated (please not its not his fault he is uneducated about lgbt) friend about my sexuality (demi-sexual) because he had just found out i had a girlfriend! he was totally cool and awesome about it and the other two people i was with were also. (which is super Fab!) The problem came when my friend sitting behind me decided to give his opinion (which was awesome don't get me wrong i love people participating in these conversations) but he was determined that demi-sexuals were not a thing with the argument of “but that's what normal people do anyway? you don't need to label it” and while all my other friends were interested in my sexuality and learning more about he was determined on saying this and proving my sexuality wasn’t actually a thing, im sure he was just having a laugh but there are just somethings you don't joke about, like sexual identities, rape, mental illness etc...denying someone of their sexuality and self expression in general is always hurtful.  also want to inform anyone who didn’t know that Demi-sexual is actually a thing! here is a video about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n23hmODcw1I and another one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I41cBuTMhDo (yay!! videos!!)
