it's really becoming clear how much of my attachment to characters is based on them dressing up in stupid little outfits. STEDE and to some degree everyone in ofmd... Quark, obviously obviously... Kurt & Blaine's outfits were their own characters lol... honestly the highlights of spn were the rare times Dean got to dress up in a little outfit... I don't care much about physical descriptors in fanfic (please stop expounding on flecks of green in eyes or whatever), but I love when authors stop to describe their clothes for no narrative reason... for someone who knows nothing about fashion, dresses entirely based on comfort (and what colors make me happy, regardless of "taste"), it sure is a theme in what I'm drawn to fictionally. little dolls to play dress up with in my mind. show me a fruity little clothes horse and I'm in love
