“Don’t you remember lecturing about pacing during the sparring classes? You’re not an exception to that lesson.”

Ozpin wore more layers in Vale than most people would, so it should come as no surprise that he was wearing two sweaters under his jacket, and warmer pants than his usual choice, as well as gloves. The cold of Atlas was terrible for his joints. “I was trying to be cordial, but since you’ve already expressed your distaste... This weather is dreadful,” he allowed himself to say, pulling his scarf up to cover his mouth, as he motioned towards the door. “You first.”

“I certainly could, Professor, or I could complete this highly time sensitive correspondence with the internal security contractor.” Though, to that end Ozpin really only needed one hand at the keyboard. The other seemed to be slowly venturing up her back. Beneath her cape, over crisp, clean white cotton before his arm curled around her. 

A sigh, as he looked at the date on his scroll. The fact that he even had to check was indication enough that he shouldn’t stay awake another hour, quite honestly. “Saturday.” It’s Tuesday.

“Glynda, there is no need to escalate things.” The council wants him out, so be it. He doesn’t need to be sitting on that chair to do what needs to be done - not when she is right there to continue his work. If anything, she might do a better job as Headmistress. “You need not fight the council, they have our people’s best interest at heart.”

“Hmm. I suppose they wouldn’t.” He was not quite sure his influence on them had been a mostly positive one. Secrets aside, bending the rules for them might have kept them from learning important lessons. “I’d argue all of the teaching staff played a part in their development, though.”

“However, that’s just a student’s opinion. An older student’s opinion, that is.”

“I know that,” she huffed. Winter Schnee would not admit to sulking. “That doesn’t mean that I don’t wish that you just happened to have an easy solution to this problem, however.”
