"Whoa. If I was a lame guy, I'd give you some crappy line asking if it hurt when you fell from heaven." He smiles a little. "Are you okay? You look lost."Â

The neon lights were what she was used to. Cyan irises had adjusted to the bright sting and black light's luminescence. She had no problem walking between lighted tables in six inch pumps, a drink tray balanced on her flat palm. The wolf whistles and snide comments only brought out a predatory smile to her florescent pinks lips. Every so often she'd indulge a customer, leaning forward after setting down their drink and purring out a comment of her own. On occasion she'd hook a perfectly manicured nail under their chin, tilt them up and quickly strike, clipping them no deeper than a shaving cut. It was her form of entertainment, making late hours go by faster while she had her own fun.
But there were nights where she would work an odd shift, done by ten or eleven instead of closing the club with the rest of the girls. The only gain from these days was a chance to go out and buy herself a drink- instead of serving a crowd of scum.
The first thing the woman noticed upon entering her regular tavern was the difference in lighting compared to her club. It was softer, not nearly as harsh on the eyes in comparison. It was like walking into a movie theater after spending most of your day in the sun.
Larxene Avery walked up to the bar top, ordering a Blue Moon to start her tab before wandering over to the pool tables. She was greeted with a few nods from other regulars, though no one left their game to approach her. Instead she strolled over to the one empty table, setting up the colored balls. Â Behind her she could hear someone fumbling with the pool cues. Without turning she spoke. "Up for a game?" Her tone was friendly as she could manage before she turned around, grabbing one for herself. "It'll be more fun than shooting around by myself."
