Hello! After spending many years in the online magick community, two specific needs have come to my attention.
The first need I have noticed is the need to learn. Many young and new witches and magick practitioners join tumblr and struggle finding the proper resources and mentors to further their craft. There have been many attempts I’ve seen to help young learning witches, but sadly most fail or are giving out false information. Some even force their own agenda onto beginners, enforcing the three-fold law on those who are not Wiccan and telling them it is wrong to practice traditionally “dark” magick.
Here at South Stone Society we hope to help students learn at their pace, and on the topics they choose. We do not enforce an agenda on the students; instead, we let them choose and design their own craft, giving them the resources they need to learn and grow how they want. We offer classes on an array of subjects (can be found under the Groups List link in our side bar).
The second need I recognized is the need to connect. I have seen many witches in the online community struggle to make magick practicing friends. Even for solitary witches, isolation in one’s craft and beliefs can be very lonely. Many have tried to start online chat groups or even covens, but to no avail, something usually goes wrong.
South Stone Society has seven Guilds, divided by magick type. Members can join these Guilds to meet and connect with other witches and magick practitioners who practice similar crafts, but not identical. These guilds are not covens, and they do not require specific rules or rituals or participation in spells, only that you respect the members. Along with the Guilds, South Stone society offers a variety of general groups, based on age and magick beliefs or religion. Other groups can even be set up upon request.
Every group and class South Stone offers is free and run off of kik. Joining is as easy as filing out the general form (can be found under the Forms link in our side bar). Witches of all practices welcome! We hope to hear from you soon!
