What if Jane foster was a witch and is pissed off by Loki's antics with Darcy as her apprentice and Eric is an irritated old warlock who still does sacrifices to the old gods. They're a weird family.
@mostie01
Loki’s expression was priceless and Jane wished in that very moment to have a camera at her disposal, but as usual in such situations, she had none. The god of mischief had clearly not expected to be so openly challenged. He had taken her warnings with one of his trademark smirks and had left it at that. He had simply called her ‘petty human’ and turned around. Jane, who was not only one hundred percent done with him, but also did not like to be insulted, had taken the chance when it presented itself.
Usually, the young witch was not one for such underhanded tactics, but the fact that her ‘opponent’ or rather, her challenger, was a god of lies and deceit, she would be forgotten. Also, witches were known for being sneaky.
Long story short, Loki did not expect the light fire blast to his back that sent him flying a few meters away, his scepter falling out of his hand. This had been Darcy’s cue. She was still in training and actually, Jane was not sure that the dark haired female would ever become a real witch - she forgot even the most easiest spells - but at least she put effort in her job and she was a valuable team member. Also, she had become a part of the family that the brown haired witch would not miss for anything in the world.
“Darcy, get the scepter to Erik,” shouted Jane. The hat wearing apprentice nodded and ran as fast as her legs would carry her.
Erik was a warlock once. He still possessed magic, it was not something you could use, but his stamina had lessened with age. It was natural. He still made sacrifices to the gods, he still casts spells to make his life a little more comfortable and sometimes he would even train Jane and on special occasions even Darcy. If there was someone on this planet, who could knew something about godly artifacts, then it would be Erik and Jane had absolutely no doubt that he would keep it both safe AND away from Loki.
Speaking of which, the raven haired male dressed in green had scrambled to his feet again. there was a lot of anger in his eyes, his mouth was opened in an ugly snarl.
“How DARE you?” he hissed and took a few threatening steps forward. It was not like the female human was afraid, she just had respect. She was dealing with a god after all. “How dare you challenge a god, you puny human.”
The sound of thunder rumbled loud in the sky. Jane allowed herself to let out a sigh of relief. Thor was coming and with him, her hopes of posing an actual challenge to the god of mischief, were raised greatly. She may be a good witch, above average really, but something told her that she was still no real challenge to Loki…
“Brother, leave her alone,” Thor’s voice thundered and a moment later, he appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
The brothers glared evilly at each other and it was clear what would happen now. Magic against physical combat, it would be a battle of the ages, searching its rival. The mortal human decided to stay out of this one. If she was honest with herself, then she did not actually want to hurt the raven haired god. He WAS a bad person, but surely there must be a reason for it and if there is a reason, there might even be a solution to bring him back on the right path again. Also, he WAS a wizard, in a way. He COULD use magic and therefore he was part of the family too… and family should not be hurt…

Witch jocasta nu leaves the order and chases after her stubborn lover dooku to make sure when he does become count he doesn't leave her behind.
Jocasta puta few more datapads back into the shelves, where they belonged to. She washighly aware of her coworkers and had to concentrate hard to act normal and ifnothing was happening. Up until now, it seemed to work. At least nobody hadasked her if everything was alright and Jocasta counted that as a smallvictory.
For daysshe was on edge and all that because of a certain person, who deemed itnecessary to leave the Jedi Order without so much as a goodbye and a letterwith the words,
“May the Force be withyou always, my star.
In love,
Yan Dooku.”
Needless tosay, Jocasta had not at all been amused with just this letter, which wassecurely in a pocket in her tunics and that did not even state the reason forhis departure or his destination. Then again, it was pretty clear why he left.It was well known that her lover despised the Republic and the Senate. Morethan once had he said that the Jedi were becoming the Senate’s pets and in away, he WAS right. A sigh escaped the head librarian and she immediatelychecked if someone had heard it. Thankfully no one was close to her. Shequickly turned back to her task.
Also, thedeath of his former Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn, rested heavily on his soul. Yanhad blamed the Council for this, hadcalled them idiots for not having believed the dead Jedi’s words and for onlysending one Jedi Master and one senior Padawan to fend against the Sith. In away, not only Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had paid the price for the Council’signorance, but Yan had too. His bond with Qui-Gon had been strong, even so longafter their partnership. Yan had loved the long haired maverick, like a son,and children were not supposed to die before their parents.
The headlibrarian turned away from the shelf and pushed the cart with the datapadforward to her desk. She had to check them, before putting them back in theirplace again. Jocasta stole a brief glance at the chrono that was sitting by oneof the studying Padawans and shamelessly wished that the day was over already.
She hadlong thought about it, spent many a night restless, contemplating about herchoices. In the end, she had even taken drastic measures, enchanted a mirror tolook for her wayward lover and used her magic to see the future. She had seenher lover, alone and abandoned, crazy with anger and loneliness and she hadseen the bad he had done. Then, she had seen herself at the man’s side and shehad watched how the angry man had turned balanced again. Her task had beenclear then. She would and COULD not allow her lover to fall to the darkness, she would save him, even if she had to hex him to stay in one place. She wouldhelp him, if he wanted or not, even if that meant that she had to place a curseon his estate on Serenno so that he could never leave without her permissionagain. She would turn him mute, should he not listen and she would make him blind, should he want to see the wrong people, like the remaining Sith. It would breakher heart to do so, but she would do it… as long as her love was safe, it wouldbe worth it… even if that meant that he would hate her. It. Was. Worth. It.
Now allthat remained to be done, was giving away her lightsaber. If Jocasta was beinghonest, then she did not need one, she had her magical powers to keep herselfsafe after all… and she rather preferred using them to confuse her enemies, instead of really harming or even killing them. She was simply not one for such…barbaric… manners, that is why she had become the head librarian and notsomeone to work in the field, like her two best friends since childhood, YanDooku and Sifo Dyas. She stayed behind and they traveled off to the far ends ofthe galaxy, experiencing adventures, helping people in need and fighting theirway through tomorrow. They had been content, but this had not been a life forJocasta. She had made peace with that revelation a long time ago, she was goodin her work and in a way, she helped the people around the galaxy too. Afterall, it was her that gave the Jedi out there, the information they needed tosucceed.
So sheshould leave her lightsaber with Master Yoda, he was the only one, she couldand would trust with it, with her life. He would understand, he always did. Hewould know about the reason for her departure. Would he stop her? Jocasta didnow know, but she found herself not caring. She had made up her mind and she wouldnot move from the path she had chosen.
Her pathwas clear, even though her future was not. Yet despite all, Jocasta Nu wasstill a Jedi and as a Jedi, she would follow the will of the Force. This washer destiny and nobody could tell her otherwise.
