A Queen and her Consort
Before Iris found Mephisto and woke him, his sister did her best to rule the forest alone in his absence. She wasn't entirely built for it, and when he first fell under the spell that kept him from her, she was a ruler with a fist of iron and a molten rage. But... as time went on, her anger slowly cooled, and she started to miss seeing her brother smile. Missed his laughter, and playing pranks on their court with him. So... Praxina found others to fill that void, as she started to believe she'd never really hear her brother's mirth ever again. Eventually she meets a Witch, a boy with warm, laughing eyes and a curiosity that feels almost like home.
She doesn't bring him home with her, but she instead sneaks away to spend hours with him. She hid who she was at first... but eventually, she let him know her true nature, and he didn't mind that. He'd known she was some kind of fae, and learning she was the Queen of the Forest impressed him beyond measure.
Praxina does not know what she will do, if Mephisto awakes while she's with Doug.
And then... she feels a swirl of magic as her brother's casket is opened.
