If you look at my LinkedIn profile, you'll see that I graduated from Audencia Nantes - School of Management. So it is with great pride today that I am writing about Wisemly - a startup founded by a fellow "audencien".
Wisembly just raised €1.5 million, which is a lot in the French startup ecosystem.
What exactly is Wisembly? It's a collaborative tool for meetings. Often (too often even), meetings are a waste of time: too many people, for very little info, with just a few speakers, little interaction and no feedback. Big companies' plague.
With Wisembly, you can ask attendees what they expect of the meeting before it starts, you can upload documents, create polls, ask for opinion, get comments, take notes right during the meeting. When finished, you can give feedback, keep the interaction going with attendees and organizers, and search through previous meetings.
The SaaS has already seduced top French companies such as BNP Paribas, Danone, Accenture... It costs between 10€ and 20€ per user per month. Wisembly was founded 3 years ago, and last year it made a nice €1.5 million in revenue, with no funding at all.
Romain David, one of the co-founders (the guy from Audencia), started his startup story with an app called Balloon, which was an interactive tool for conferences and events. He's definitely what we call a success story "à la française".
