Elderburn (Yang×Winter)

○ Yang fell in love first, probably at first sight. Winter had spent at least 2 months to think about "falling in love" before she truly accepted her feelings towards Yang.

○ Yang is a really good at cooking - the best, especially when it's about spicy food. Winter can cook but mostly something basic, cause she doesn't have much time for it.

○ Their first dates we're not the best at all, because they grew up in different worlds (one from basic average family, and the other from wealthy family), most of the dates we're hard to organize to be comfortable for everyone. Yang is a lover of something easy but extra: ride on a bumbleby, bars and clubs; when Winter likes to be more casual: cafe or a good restaurants. Winter don't like attention, so when on their date someone starts a fight (no matter who was the reason, they, Yang, or anyone else) in a club or bar, she want to get away, when Yang only get more oil to the fire. And Yang is the type of person who acts around rich friends with jokes like; "they will be paying, they have money/are you gonna be my sugar mommy?", but when the deal goes to really expensive restaurants, or something she can't afford, she gets really uncomfortable like she owe after this.

○ Only their closest friends and family knows about their relationship. On public they go pretty casual too, it was a surprise for Winter when Yang wasn't the type to tell and show everyone that they're together.

○ On the start of their relationship, when Yang doesn't keep her arm on, Winter won't really bother besides just to be sure questions "do you need help?" when she doing something, because she wasn't really around when Yang was without it, but even so, sometimes Yang would just for fun take her arm off, so Winter would help her with stuff she doesn't really like to deal with (wash dishes, washing/braiding her hair, or cleaning).

○ The most loved touches from each other.

For Yang: playing with hair, lying head on lap or when Winter is on her's, thighs touch.

For Winter: neck touches (fingers, kisses), holding hands, shoulders (especially massage).

○ Winter have some times of the months when she just can't get much sleep, gets bags under her eyes, and 24/7 on coffee because of the work and other factors. Yang can't help much besides just being helpful (because just telling "go sleep" won't work), gets more of the house work on herself, so Winter gets more time for work and sleep, will bring coffee to her office and gonna do her shoulders and head massage.

○ Yang is a literal heater because of her semblance, she can't control it. Winter has normal body temperature, but after she got maiden power, she just activates it when they cuddling.

○ Weiss is a very protective sister, she loves Winter and want for her love she deserves. So when she starts to see that Yang is lay an eye on her, she won't bother and say straight "I don't know what you exactly planning, but I better not to see you near my sister". With Ruby it was easier, she was protective in the past even when she was younger, looking at Yang's boyfriend/girlfriend with "the look", but when she found out that was Winter she goes "oh, so you in love in someone from Schnee family that Weiss doesn't hate? Good for you." she would easily take Winter as a family, and she secretly appreciate it.

○ They married the last from their friends. Most of the reason is that they both didn't had time and besides that marriage wasn't something they considered as the important thing. So they would be a couple who dated 11 years before getting married.

○ As the Schnee member Winter is very talented, even if she left most of her "hobbies" (because it was for family reputation and not for herself) she still remember how to play a violin and dance. So sometimes she still doing this when she's alone, but as their relationship with Yang starts to get closer she likes to share those moments with her.

I've been obsessing over elderburn lately, and I think someone has already explicitly said this, but since I've been in the fandom for a short time, I'll say it most likely when someone has already said it. Elderburn would have been such a domaid yuri in ep 7 of Vol 8. Just imagine for a second how this fight between Jaune, Ren and Yang against the Atlas team and Winter would have been with a backstory? (I mean Winter x Yang)

IF somewhere in another distant universe Winter and Yang would have met (CLEARLY THEORETICALLY), say from vol 4-5 when Yang is trying to recover and Winter decided to visit her (maybe they knew each other before, I don't know, just were drinking in a bar together or something). They started to get closer, but Winter had to leave after a month or so, leaving some kind of clue to something more than friendship.

And so, at the vol 7, they saw each other, worked things out, and are now in a relationship. After long weeks of training, random make outs, and one date...

Everything in Atlas goes wrong and the lovers no official break up.

In addition to her sister and Penny, Winter "following the rolls" had to deal alson with Yang. And Yang, thinking about her lover's betrayal, tries to get away from it.

And the scene from Ep 7 of Vol 8 happens.

LISTEN: Put in their place any yuri couple, one of whom followed the dictator and the other the uprising. If they were completely different characters with this trope, it would have blown all the fans of the show a long time ago.
