Morning, Sleeping Beauty
Put "Morning, Sleeping Beauty" in my askbox for my character's reaction to waking up in bed with yours with no recollection of the night prior.
Sunlight had begun to creep in through a gap in the curtains, faintly illuminating the room in which the two had been sleeping. The leak of light had managed to settle itself upon Sigyn's face, cutting straight over her eyes which prompted her nose and brows to twitch due to the annoyance of the rude awakening. To match her facial reaction, a sound of discontentment also sounded from her lips.
She rolled over with every intention of burying her face into the pillow on the other side of the bed in order to just continue her slumber but when she face planted into a rather more define and muscular pillow than she'd been expecting; she startled. For a brief moment, she froze in place like a rabbit caught in headlights, not sure whether staying stark still was the best option or if moving away at lightening speed was.
After the initial shock, she all but leapt to the edge of the bed, clutching the sheets to her chest - hand over her heart as if it would help calm it as it threatened to break through her ribcage. She was mortified to find herself in bed with a stranger as it was barely in her nature to share chambers with those she was close to, let alone with a man she'd never met.
Yet, what worried her the most was not the fact he was a stranger but the fact she could not recollect anything beyond her decision to go out and explore the city by night the previous afternoon.
"Three questions!" She squeaked, blue eyes still wide. "One, who in the Nine are you? And two, why are we in a bed together? And three, how did it come about!?"
