As one of the guards rushed into the room he quickly seized his dagger and cut the laces of the corset pulling it off of her in attempts to allow her to breathe again. There was panic in his eyes as he watched her struggling to breathe before a small trinket of knowledge was recalled in a book he had read. He lay her on the floor before he placed his lips to hers in order to give her what had been called the kiss of life. 

When he was sure she would be able to breathe on her own he glared at the offending garment before ordering that her mother be locked in the tower as punishment. He had purchased her comfortable clothing for a reason. And if the woman had clearly ignored those gifts to his daughter she would be punished for the harm she had caused. 

He had her moved to the large inner bedchambers to be settled upon the massive canopy bed as he sent for the royal physician to look her over. The commotion though had already brought a few onlookers, even his own brother had come quickly to see what had happened. 

He sat now next to her on the bed her hand in his as he smoothed back her hair softly listening attentively to the physician looking her over giving her a bill of clean health with instructions to simply rest for the remainder of the day. He nodded and dismissed the healer before he noticed the few onlookers and his brother. 

"She’s not even here an hour and you’ve already broken her brother?", Thor laughed as he stepped into the room. Loki glared at him. 

"Twas not my fault. It seems that her cow of a mother saw it fit to dress her so tightly she could have killed her", he growled as the grip on her hand tightened softly. He could see a few of the new chambermaids giggling and knew full well there would be gossip. Angrily he ordered everyone out of the room before he looked her over once more. 

Even as air rushed back into her with the removal of the offending garment and the method Loki had used, she still felt drowsy and it showed in the way she slumped in his hold. She took shallow breaths as she began breathing on her own accord once more, though it still felt slightly uncomfortable to do so.

It felt relieving to have the corset off but at the same time, she felt awfully exposed considering a crowd had now gathered around the room to see what all the fuss was about, so she was thankful when she was moved to an adjacent room and people were barred from seeing her unless Loki allowed the entrance.

The physician gave her the all clear, asides from telling her to just rest and to avoid wearing tight clothing from now on, as if she had had a say in what she had been wearing when she lost the ability to breath.

As Loki’s hand ran over her hair, she let out a content sigh. She had always enjoyed the feeling of someone playing with her hair but it was a luxury she rarely received. For a brief moment, her eyes closed and she focused on the sensation of his gentle touch. That was until his brother came into the room with his booming laughter and his jest.

The jest caused her grimace slightly since she knew the entire situation would be taken out of context and there would be whispers throughout the entire court. Somehow, that made Sigyn believe that this had been her Mother’s plan all along but despite all the strife her Mother put her through, Sigyn did not wish to see the woman in pain.

“Go easy on her,” Sigyn murmured in response, her head tilting into Loki’s touch “she is still my Mother regardless of how infuriating she is.” When his lips met hers again, her breath caught in her throat and her lips gently pursed to return the chaste kiss.

He hadn’t had as much fun on a date as he was having at that moment. in fact he couldn’t remember the last time he’d had such a wonderful date. They walked for some time around the park simply chatting about this or that. He listened to her chat away about her life. He spoke about his life and family, about how he had moved to the city from the countryside in order to get out on his own. 

The date had been pleasant and by the end of the night he had seen to it she was put in a taxi and safely returned home but not until he’d promised to look up her friends website and hoped she’d like to see him again. By the time he got home he was somewhat tired. His brother had left the downstairs lights on for him and as he went to his room he booted up his laptop and typed in the web address she’d given him. 

He was completely blown away by some of the images he was presented with. Some film clips and photography. It seemed she must have been asked quite a few times to be part of her friends projects as she was frequently in many of the photographs. Loki could not help but stare at some of them. He was completely taken aback by how beautiful she was. It seemed as if she were to good to be true and so he reached for his phone to text her. 

[SMS: Sigyn] Looked at your friend’s site. One word. Wow

[SMS: Sigyn] You’re very pretty in some of these photos.

It was safe to say, she had enjoyed the evening thoroughly and she was glad she had run after Loki and give him her number despite their odd way of initially meeting. The night came to a natural end and once she had given him the web address for her friend’s website, she had assured him she would be happy to see him again in the near future.

When she had gotten home, she had instantly kicked off her heels and let out a content sigh at the feeling of being bare footed. Then after showering and removing all the make-up she had been wearing throughout the day, she moved to curl up in her bed but not before plugging her phone into the charger that was plugged in by her bedside cabinet.

As she cocooned herself in her duvet, her phone went off and she had to pluck her arm from within her snuggly bundle of blankets. A shy smile formed on her lips upon reading Loki’s texts.
