Frühling in Pastell ..... (pastel shades of spring)
Schlehe, Tulipa turkestanica, Blumenhasel (Sloe, Turkestan Tulip, Winterhazel)
Golden Winterhazel (Corylopsis). I’m so in love with the color.
The cascading blooms of winter hazel have a wonderful fragrance and foretell of the coming spring blooms (Corylopsis sinensis var. Calvescens). This plant is closely related to witch hazel. Can you tell? . . . . . . #Corylopsis #Calvescens #Corylopsissinensis #winter #winterhazel #blooms #rva #rvagardentrail #rvablooms #fragrant #fragrantflowers (at Richmond, Virginia) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvCMG4cg0xJ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7ts0yhjfjm47
Psst, thought you might like the source of that nice oranda painting you reblogged, it comes with a bonus second fancy oranda :) it's the newest post on my blog
Oh yoo that’s awesome! Props to you for hunting down the source on that one! I’ll reblog that and delete the repost!

Heyy, how big are the holes in that hammocky thing? My corn would probably love it but she also loves going into holes and I want to make sure they're either unequivocally too small for her to fit or big enough to go through comfortably and not get stuck. I guess I can try weaving/knitting my own hammock if it's not quite right but it seems really convenient with the suction cups and all
About as big around as a sharpie! Here’s a picture with a quarter for scale and a sharpie stuck through one of the holes.
The material is flexible, but not that flexible- the holes don’t have a lot of give to them.
Corylopsis pauciflora blooming like crazy in my garden. Why would anyone plant Forsythia when you could have this lovely Winterhazel?
