Happy Winterdom from Frostburg! If you take a closer look, you may find a familiar bard in one of the photos! That and many Ravnicans who decided to take vacation in this frosty city!
Winterdom !
Germany ::: 24 November in 2017
Happy Winterdom Everyone!
Salutations and Good Blessings my friends! I hope all has been well for you. I hope everyone’s season is merry and wanted to spread some holiday cheer! Although it has been rather tense on Ravnica (and tumblr and the real world, am I right?) I wanted to wish you all some holiday hopes for you!
My first hope for all of you is that you find rest in this holiday season. The holidays can be a busy time and people who work in stores get hit hard, so I hope all of you can get some rest and relaxation during the next few weeks.
My second hope for all of you is that you receive love. Not just romantic love, but love from friends and family. You are are kindhearted people and deserve affection and time from the ones that you love.
My third hope for you is joy. I hope that you get to have some fun in the next couple of weeks. When the days are shorter, everyone needs some good laughs and some enjoyable times. Hopefully you all can have time with people who spark joy in your soul.
Finally, I wish you all peace. I know for some of you, this can be a stressful time of the year and it can feel like the walls are caving in. May peace ring clear as a bell in your life and bring some solace in this time.
Happy Winterdom!
Winterdom approaches
Salutations and Good Blessings to my friends, both far and wide! Happy Winterdom to my Ravnican friends and Merry Hanukah to my friends I met on Terra. As we celebrate this year’s Winterdom, I am going to highlight someone as close to each day as possible!
My first highlight is @hazoret! She has been a wonderful artist in our community and a wonderful role player. Her art is fun and joyous and her character development with @shepherd-ivaria has been phenomenal! I wish her great thanks for previous commissions she has done for me and for all of the joy she gives by sharing with this community. May your creativity and beauty as a person shine brightly! Happy Winterdom!

The Story of Winterdom
Theren sits and begins to tell the story to @sima-the-unwary.
“It all started back during the signing of the Guildpact. Back then, the city that covers this plane was but a mere set of towns. Large forests, expansive planes, treacherous swamps, formidable mountains, and vast oceans with islands covered the plane. But as the ten guilds began to form, the largest of all the towns, Ravnica, truly began to grow.
What once was a plane covered in Wilds, now was covered in bridges, spires, avenues, and waterways. As the city grew, people who did not belong to a guild began to fall on harsh times. Many of the guilds left them fall to the wayside, allowing for crime, disease, and fear to afflict the guildless.
But wait! Out of the guildless emerged a hero, an elven woman named Elora Winterdom. A noble elf, she had raven black hair, olive skin, and was as tall as an old growth dryad. She was a healer who lived in the Ninth District. She would heal guildless citizens for free.
Due to her free giving of healing, many would give her gifts as a sign of gratitude. As many would get sick during the winter months, Elora often got many gifts during the winter season. As she would give gifts, she’d gift them back by giving woven flower crowns.
The tradition of gift giving began, it became a spread of giving gifts for others to show gratitude and love for others. That is why it has stayed a mostly guildless tradition. The guilds often do not get along well enough to give gifts to one another. So guildless, like myself, keep the tradition alive, and give gifts during the whole season, not just a day. So Happy Winterdom to you, enjoy this season of giving and sharing and loving!”
A Multiversal Christmas
‘‘Twas the Night before Christmas,
And all through the plane,
The fanwalkers were preparing,
For Winterdom, which was tame.
The lights were all hung in the air with care,
With hopes of friends coming soon to be there.
Ravnica as the base for many a planeswalker,
Soon would be visited by another big talker.
Madam Stripes told us of the jolly man of red,
Whose reindeer planeswalk and this they led.
St. Nick, not the dragon, was coming tonight,
As he heard there were planeswalkers full of goodness and light.
As I slept in the Inn, I heard such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter,
I picked up my cats, Cypress and Oak,
To make sure there weren’t any hurt folk.
We went outside and to my surprise,
Was jolly old st. Nick in a sleigh that flies.
The reindeer pulled the great sleigh,
To take him all the way,
From the plane of Earth,
Full of great worth,
To Ravnica, covered in city.
He landed on the street, coming down with a thud,
As the sleigh hit the ground with a bump shake and dud.
He was covered in velvet from his head to his toe,
With bright reds like berries and whites like snow.
He was a jolly old man, with a big white beard,
And the twinkle in his eye which I never had feared.
He stopped for a moment and gave me a gift,
Which afterwards he also mentioned he’d give me a lift.
But as it was getting late, he drove out of sight,
Saying, ‘Merry Christmas Ravnicans, have a happy Winterdom night!’”
