la tikas has weighed in on the winter transfer and possible recall of dragoni, and of course, she mentions how the ever looming draconian financial fair play rules are what's hanging over our head like a huge raincloud đ
so basically it's not finalised that we will bring dragoni back (it will be decided after 1 jan), but she's a good option given our fair play constraints đ¤
"with the winter transfer window just around the corner, fc barcelona's sporting management is considering whether there is any scope for signing a new player. the problem is the same as always: the club remains constrained by financial fair play and tebas' laliga rules, which leaves the operation at a standstill for now. if a small window of opportunity were to open, the profile would be clear: a player who would improve what is already there, with immediate impact and little need for adaptation.
given this scenario and with the losses in midfield, the club is considering an internal alternative, as reported by esport3: the option of bringing back giulia dragoni, on loan for the second consecutive season to roma, although nothing has been decided yet and it would be something to be decided after 1 january."
Oh are we getting another Brazilian on the team?

jajajaja, is the money for this supposed bidding war in the room with us? đ¤
once again, just like the ovalle transfer rumour, players and their agents are using the name of barça to drive up their value, when in reality, we are too busy focused on renewing our own players, let alone bringing in someone new. đ¤Śââď¸
so as we approach the winter transfer window, remember to keep that in mind and leave all these rumours to be rumours đ
Is there anyone youâre 100% confident renews and anyone youâre 100% confident wonât? I think quite a few could be 50/50.
well, i got the ingrid engen saga wrong, so i'm not la tikas reliable, but you can trust me more than rut vilar at least! this is what i think right now:
Thank you Tikas for making angel perez look stupid again because heâs stupid again đđ
thank you la tikas! here is your đ
so let's analyse what maria said:
ingrid wanted to renew with barça and be able to continue, at least, a couple more years.Â
ingrid "received a renewal offer weeks ago with an improved contract compared to the current one."
now, in this stretch of next season, ingrid "will be able to freely decide what she wants for her future and the role she has can influence her decision," as with the rest of the players who end their contract in june (paredes, torrejón, jana and gemma)
so not only has ingrid received a renewal offer with an improved contract, but she is free to go back and forth on the terms of the contract and not rush along to make a decision.
yes obviously the supercopa has been a major disappointment and will be a talking point for the discussions moving forward, but the main thing is that ingrid wants to stay and barça has put an initial offer on the table! đ
because they are using her and obviously want her to stay! đ it's not like she has zero minutes, and now with keira gone, ingrid will get even more minutes.

What load of crap is this from Barça? Not even having a renewal offer for Engen?
https://x.com/angelperezpx/status/1885338400896569782?t=KnEeNm5i8m8ILe0GEdotgw&s=19
so i'm going to wait for maria tikas' full report and wouldn't necessarily take all the details in ångel's article as gospel. also, barça does not need to offer a formal renewal now. all they need to do is reject Lyon's offer and work on the renewal over the next few months.
barça is in a wait and see approach but they are in no space to entertain deals from other clubs. we just don't have the bandwidth to proceed. it's not over, folks. this is just the beginning...
Would be interested to hear if you have any thoughts on how we introduce financial fair play within the womenâs game without limiting the growth of the sport⌠These record breaking transfers are amazing but it does make you question at what point does it become unfair?
hi - so i think it's premature to introduce financial fair play at least in terms of maximum salary caps within the women's game because we are in this extreme growth phase. even the nwsl who has historically had salary caps has been increasing them over time and it's one of the criticisms that people have levied there in attracting players.
we also know that women's football clubs often run at a loss and so to impose break-even rules would not be sustainable either. this was the first year that barça even made a profit (âŹ600.000).
but i do think there need to be minimum caps to force teams to spend more money on women's football. sadly there are teams whose leadership do not give a shit about women's football (real madrid, manchester united, etc.) and these are BIG clubs. the gap between the top teams in a league and the bottom tiers is too large and needs to be addressed. đ
the truth is always somewhere in the middle. i don't think it's worth speculating because unless a player says something (like chloe kelly most recently), it's hard to know what is happening in a locker room. again, two things can be true at once. the thing is: how would you address the player's frustrations? is simply giving them a few minutes in stoppage time a real solution? i think it's easy to talk about the "problem" but i don't see people talking about solutions. đ¤
Has the winter transfer window officially closed for Liga F? I suppose no news is good news when it comes to Ingridâs situation?
no, no, remember that tomorrow is the deadline, so we still have 24 more hours of this! đ (liga f and france close tomorrow night)
the window is now closed for england and the wsl!
i just went and looked and what in the world? đľâđŤ what is even happening with that club and kelly? i mean i know that gareth taylor has driven players away but this is ridiculous!
