Vulcan Ironworks are a Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada band (I think...the label River Trash Records is based in Winnepeg). One of the Bandcamp profiles I follow, Rick Hamilton, bought this. He usually tends to more rock, but this more on the psychelic/garage/surf style.

I immediately thought of The Black Lips and Franky Flowers crossed with Bailey's Nervous Kats.

I love the description for the band on Bandcamp: "dark-hued psychedelic garage rock. absolute freakbeat stompers alongside western fuzz and folk melancholy. not leaden and heavy,not incense and flowers."

The Red River has been the home of the Métis people, and a source of much historical conflict. It gives life to Manitoba, and then washes it away, over and over and over and over...

The last time I was there, the waters were receding from yet another major flood. This spot is in Winnipeg, or ‘Winterpeg’, which is mostly known for it’s insanely long cold winters, and the plentiful bugs that arrive as soon as the snow melts.
