My sister is coming over and I'm laying in wait. How long until she notices that the bottom book on the pile is the out of print novella by her favourite author, that I bought a digital copy of, and turned into a physical book!
It's done! My very first fanbinding. Mudd in Your Eye is a genius 'what if' by Avirra, featuring both my favourite character, Dr. McCoy, and my favourite villian, Khan Noonien Singh.
I wanted it to blend in with my collection of 80s Star Trek pocket books, but I probably won't design a cover like this again. It was not fun trying to print it out at the right size, especially since I had to take a trip to the next city for each attempt at colour printing.
The binding wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I gutted a free discard book, to make use of the front and back boards, and the headbands. Bwa ha ha!
The very first copy (where I accidentally chopped off the top of the pages) goes to me, and the second will be mailed to the talented author! 💕

I don't know the name of it, but works well to cover large holes in lightweight fabric.

Some raccoons chewed on my dear old cat a few years back, and now he only seems to feel safe in high spots.
So I used some scrap lumber to build him a cat observation post in my garden!
His little friend down on the ground is attached to a leash, so we can haul her in when bears come through.
My only mending thread is a gradient red. He wasn't super impressed about the colour, but my father still appreciated the mended shorts.
Made some little llamas to match my wall of circles!
This is an awesome use of what is probably a master's degree if not a doctorate and I am 100% thrilled that she shared it even though it was embarrassing and she squeaked.

Grew up in a house where 4 of us had ADHD, and consequently we set fires in the kitchen almost every other day. (watching things cook is boring)
As soon as the fire alarm went off everyone would jump to their assigned station, and start swinging the doors open and closed. It was a super efficient way of sucking all the smoke out of the house!

Completely unrelated to anything else, I have never in my life seen a sight like this. Some people wear a small maple leaf on Canada Day. This is not something I thought was possible. People had to go out and buy red shirts, just to support Canada's team. Nobody had this gear hiding in their closet.

So I bought myself a vacuum robot.
I'm gradually making my suite robot safe. This is the little perch for my cats' water bowl, so Robot can sweep underneath.
Yay! This is the first time I've followed a legit cross stitch pattern. It's called 'Happynest' by Satsuma Street, available on etsy.
But I'm the one who figured out how to turn it into a wall hanging. Proud of myself for that! 😊
Two years after starting, I finally finished painting the door to my suite!
I don't know what sort of paint you're supposed to use for this, but not regular wall paint. It's like dragging an uncooperative slug along by the end of your paintbrush.

I recently started medication for my recently diagnosed ADHD. Guess who tackled their mending pile for the first time ever?
This is an intial attempt at a leaf to cover up a rust stain.
My hobbies include blogging commentary on media that no one else on this site cares about and starting projects I will never finish.
I feel like tumblr is my daily dose of passion and caring.
Doesn't have to be a media we share in common. I just like to see my friends and mutuals caring about the things that matter to them.
So nice to see people with curiosity engaged in the world.
