Nostalgia filled her like the slight musk of the forest around her, a familiar sort of warmth as she walked towards the house. The path was still well-known to her, despite the years, and she found herself thinking she should have perhaps made the journey much sooner.
With a sigh, she looked down at the small crate in her arms. Multiple bags and small jars were nestled inside the wooden frame, each filled with different herbs and flowers. Some had been rather hard won, but if Porlyusica found a use for them as Lisanna hoped, it would have been well worth the effort.
In her younger years, Lisanna had spent a fair amount of time at the healer’s house, and not always because of injuries to herself, but because she enjoyed the company (though her Fairy Tail family had never quite known or understood that). Since her return from Edolas, everything had seemed to happen in a rush, with little time for her to truly reconnect with others, simply having to continue on, pushed along by the waves. But now? Fairy Tail was gone and things seemed…settled. As hard as it was to feel as if she had lost people she considered family, again, there was something to be said for the sense of freedom she felt now.
Her heart wasn’t exactly light, but it was telling her the time had come to start choosing her own path. And the path she wanted was one that had her as someone who made time to visit the people she cared about.
She just hoped the very woman she wanted to see still cared about her in return.
Taking a few steadying breaths as she stepped up to the door, she put on a smile.
