Jack wandered through the new city. He always enjoyed visiting new people and new towns. The children were all tucked away in bed and Jack walked through the quiet city. He reached what seemed to be the town square and saw a peculiar looking statue in the middle of the area. With a tilt of his head, Jack walked closer to the statue. His eyes widened at what he saw.It was a statue of an angel.
Normal people would stand in awe at the statue and find it beautiful. Not Jack. Jack found it saddening for it reminded him of an old friend. It had been a long time since Jack has seen his angel friend. He didn't know why Pit had suddenly decided to leave, but that was almost a year ago. Jack waited almost every day for him to come back, but always ended with the same result.
Jack closed his eyes as he tried to hold back the tears. He knelt down on the ground beneath him and let out a sigh. Jack didn't know what to do. He did not have anyone to be with right now. Everyone else was busy. Jack stood up to leave, but found himself staring at the statue once again. "Where are you, Pit?" He whispered to the statue as if it was some sort of communicator. Jack waited for a moment, but let out another sigh. He hung his head as the memories of the angel flooded back into his mind.
