      lucky for him, she didn’t quite understand social situations to a degree capable of pointing out what had made his showing up awkward. in fact, she found his being there pleasant  &  the dramatic entrance of his amusing, to say the least.

She would perhaps suggest the Red Robin familiarized themself better with their friends it this was truly a valid concern. But, she cannot bring herself suggest this, or to consider this an actual worry. So for a moment, she simply  s t a r e s.

If Q had a penny for every time someone told him some variation of this comment, he’d have more money than he would care for at this point of his life. Especially in his childhood people thought his intelligence was something worth acknowledging. 

Q was aware that he was clever and at some moment he had stopped to value the compliment.     HOWEVER, Q considered Tim Drake to be a man of great intelligence himself. And a compliment like this coming from someone he admired send a pink blush over his cheeks.
