The bat huffed, and shifted, and finally left, tired of being cooped up in Youko’s den, and eager to get some fresh air. It wasnt like Youko needed him around all the time anyway, so here he was. Leaving Youko’s forest and stretching his wings idly, getting the stiffness out after spending the last week planning heists with his partner. Inside. Sometimes even underground.
It was so much nicer to feel the breeze on his skin, feel it tease the edges of his wings with promises of a good flight.
The bat hopped onto one of Youko’s sentry trees, took a look around, and launched himself into the skies above. It didnt take him long to go from a short arm up to soaring around, gliding the thermals and angling towards that one mountain range nearby, intent on seeing what thrills the sometimes chaotic wind patterns could bring.
He didnt notice until nearly too late that there was someone else there, and the bat flared his wings to try halting himself to avoid a collision. “Hey! Watch it!”
