I have been using Windows 8 for a while now and I say it's not bad at all. I mean well, the pro version is nice but if you're using RT then that must be the reason why you're so mad about Windows 8. But let me tell you about why I think Windows 8 is a really good OS and why you should not go about poisoning the well if you are not satisfied about the OS.
Windows 8 has many new features that I really like. One is the Windows Store. Of course the current one sucks cause it lacks official apps such as official Facebook App and official Tumblr app, YouTube etc. etc. But that is not to hate. This is just a method for Windows to kind of centralize software downloads so that people won't go and download a malware or virus on the internet. This is for security. Another is the new start screen. Before the release of the Windows 8. I imagined every app on this new fullscreen UI. But sadly no, that is not the case. The only apps that can be placed there and can be run on the beautiful full screen view are the metro apps. Although not much metro apps are useful, I don't put the blame on Windows 8. I kinda put the blame on the developers of the apps themselves. It just means they are not releasing a Metro App. So the Store is full of yucky client apps. But then again the Store is young and full of improvement. There are still more but I'm tired now I might post something like what I like about Windows 8.
Windows 8 is currently in development. That's why they will be having the build 2013 or more commonly known as "Windows Blue." Windows 8 is just Windows' baby UI much like when they made the desktop long ago. If you didn't like the earliest versions of the desktop or if you haven't seen them, I believe they are just as hard to learn as the current state of Metro UI. But let me tell you this, things will change in the near future. Microsoft won't let the current condition to persist like this. That is why there is something called an upgrade guys. They try out their newest touch interface and see how it goes with people. They try to see what's missing. And they WILL BE improving it in the next version of Windows I assure you that. Anyway, just think of this as the Windows '98 of the Metro UI. And surely in the future, there will be another XP or 7 of the Metro UI. So, haters please don't poison the well, especially when it isn't.
