(@wiltedmuses // ghost quartz to faelen) "I, too, am imprisoned by fate..." They spoke in a soft tone, silver hair blowing in the soft breeze. Despite their gem body, Ghost felt more human than ever in this place. "Do you wish to hold your pain within? Or will you share your problems with another? I would be happy to listen if you need me." (here have something soft uwu)

IMPRISONED BY FATE â so seemed to be the sentiment what all in Wonderland were destined to kneel beneath the shackles of. Perhaps none quite so literally as others, but the weight of his own curse weighs heavy on his heart as he watches his home die under the bloodied claws of a demonic tyrant. The concept of confiding his troubles in others is not something he was unfamiliar with, but those he trusted were long gone from the kingdom that now acted as his prison. His king is on the run and the rabbit that they all had followed at one point or another had chased off to rewrite fate in its entirety. Were he more blatant about his sentimentality, heâd have laughed at the thought. As such, he simply smiled, a bit too sad for his tastes.
âThereâs no crueler fate than one that makes you fear it cannot be changed.â It is a difficult subject, isnât it? To believe that fate can change but to live forced to endure it. Were his curse anything else, he believes he would be able to break it through sheer force alone. But it isnât. And he cannot.  âI am sure you are strong enough to break free, if you truly want to. There is no fate in this world that can be a prison forever. Destiny can always be changed.â Even his own, though he knew not how. They are not him, however, and for that fact alone he has far more faith in them than himself. âDo you wish to hear my troubles? Is that a command to tell you?â
Heâs prodding in good faith. He knows it isnât, but itâs a prelude to the troubles he faces. If they had worded that sentiment even slightly more commanding, he would have had no choice but to spill his heart to them until there was not a single piece of his own heart left for him to keep. Itâs a fine line he walks. But he smiles, because he does not mind in this instance. It is not a close call, only a pretense.  âMy pain is not easily explained nor understood. Iâve a deep curse upon me, you see. Unless you told me to, I am not sure I could properly tell you what hurts me.â They are kind, nonetheless. And for this, he is thankful.  âA great much ails me. The state of Wonderland, the state of its people, the safety of those I call friends, the safety of you, the state of my heart... there is no end. I think it would be a waste to regale you with tales of my sorrow. But if you truly wish to hear, you need only tell me.â
