Embracing the notion of the ‘nondisciplinary’, Rawls’ residency will examine the consequences of dissolving boundaries in language, movement and sound. His research at collective address will involve a collaboration with Ligia Lewis.
Will Rawls is a choreographer engaging with instabilities of identity and form through live performance, writing and installation. Recent works include Personal Effects, a solo that premiered at performa in November 2015, Settlement House, a choreographic installation at Henry Street Playhouse and the Abrons Arts Center in June 2015, and The Planet-Eaters, which premiered at The Chocolate Factory Theater in 2013. http://willrawls.com
