Willmodo dating headcanons
Will has NO dating experience. He does have some grade school crushes here and there, but never officially dated someone before. Once, he did have the courage to finally ask someone he liked out to prom-but unfortunately, his former crush didn't reciprocate.
This may be shocking but although Modo did have some past dates, hookups and flings, he hasn't been in a serious, committed, relationship...ever. Will was quite surprised upon learning this and I don't blame him.
Will tends to be more awkward, especially when he and Modo just started dating. Modo is more chill going despite not having any true romantic relationships prior either. Modo sometimes gives Will a gentle gaze directly to the eye to help him be more ease with their newfound relationship. Will keeps a gentle attitude to have Modo be more accustomed to having romantic feelings.
Mutually, they'll tease and joke with each other. Will is a little more on the receiving end of this. They'll give each other silly pet names. Modo gives Will noogies and gently pokes him with his tail. Will sometimes have moments of sass to fire back at Modo.
Modo yaps, Will listens. It took Will a while to be accustomed to Modo's ramblings and quirky sayings. He does eventually find them charming to listen to. Will was initially pretty surprised to see that Modo listened to every word he says. Modo finds Will's meek, humble way of speaking delightful.
For pet names, Modo likes to call Will:"Little/baby goat". Will doesn't use pet names as much as Modo does, but will occasionally call him:"babe".
Due to their noticeable height & size difference, Modo & Will have to be creative with exchanging kisses. Modo's favorite way of kissing Will is picking him up & then kissing him. Will makes a subtle gesture for Modo to bend down so that he can kiss him. They also love exchanging nozzles & boops on the nose.
Doesn't take a wild guess to know that Modo is the big spoon, Will is the little spoon. Modo especially loves cuddling up to Will because he's a reptile and needs heat from external forces. Will, as a warm-blooded mammal, provides plenty of that. Will's hair makes one hella comfy pillow for Modo. So much so, Modo sometimes rubs Will's head in public while passing by as a form of affection. However, Modo usually moves a lot in his sleep. For a while, Will sometimes wakes up finding himself on the floor next to the bed whenever they share a bed together.
Modo loves receiving and giving physical affection. He's also heavily into PDA. He doesn't care if there's animals around. He'll lick Will in the face if he wants to. Sometimes, he likes to randomly sneak up Will and pick him up & hug him from behind. Other ways he expresses love towards Will physically by brushing up against him and wrapping his tail around one or both of Will's legs.
Modo lends clothes, Will borrows clothes. Once, Modo & Will were having a "sleepover" the night before practice. In the morning, Will was in panic because he realized he had forgotten his gym bag at home. They can't stop by his house to get it or else they'll be late. Modo has a solution. Hopefully, no one noticed that Will wore Modo's clothes with rubber bands used to make clothes smaller on him.
Will loves receiving and giving acts of service. He'll pack extra snacks just for Modo whenever practice is coming up. He'll massage Modo's back whenever Modo is in need of a break from team owner activities. He also does most of the cooking and driving in the relationship. He's the only animal Modo trusts to touch and even take care of his egg.
Will listens to rap and R & B while Modo listens to folk-rock and metal. Despite having different taste in music, they're willing to be open-minded about what each other love listening to. They'll take turns putting on their playlist during one on one practice sessions. Sometimes they share an airpod or earbud to listen to the same song on whoever's device. They'll hold hands-I mean uh... their grabbers while doing so. They enjoy listening to each other's concert experiences.
Besides anything roarball related, Will and Modo love competing against each other in the Cage. Other places in Vineland include the arcade, roller skating rink, and bowling alley. For non-competitive experiences, they'll wind down together at Whiskers or at one of their homes playing video games together. Sometimes, Modo gives Will a motorcycle ride around town at night. From time to time, they'll go on double dates with Lenny & Olivia.
Modo is highly observant. He can pick up Will's change of tone and instantly knew something isn't up. He will straight up ask Will if he isn't feeling the weather today. If he notices Will catching the blues, he'll gently nuzzle on his neck. Don't mistake Modo's wacky nature for being gullible. He knew if Will is lying just by listening to the sound of his voice. However, he's willing to hear out on Will first.
Will doesn't have a sixth sense like Modo does, but he did eventually pick up on Modo's change of behavior when something isn't right. He'll gently speak to Modo whenever he notices him cuddling up to his egg away from others. He'll hug Modo from behind whenever necessary. Although Will doesn't get easily suspicious, he can change into a slightly stern tone to get Modo to fess up (both aren't really great liars).
