Two alternates (@havea-margarita & @shaylaslade) have been contacted to be injured in the event coming up on Sunday as I haven’t heard from two of our original choices. 

Hey everyone! I am very pleased to announce our upcoming event “The Roof is on Fire”!

Around 3am (on a date to be determined), a fire will start in the upper floors of Willcox. The alarms will sound, smoke will billow through the apartments, and the whole place will burn to the ground.  We have contacted several players (ten in total) about injuries. If you were not contacted or did not accept the injury request, your character will not be injured. Please do not injure them without our knowledge. Everyone will make it out, all pets and animals will be unharmed. What your character saves, how badly their apartment was affected, and what items were left undamaged is up to you and your roommates. But please keep in mind that realistically your character might only be left with what they can grab and the clothes on their back. 

We are really excited for this event, not only will it be the start of our revamp, but it will give everyone a chance to come together as a community. There will also be character pairings. Please see the linked post. (edited to add: minor updates have been made to account for new characters from the last round of acceptance as well as dropped characters. expect at least one more update).

Following the fire, the city of New York as well as the Willcox Insurance and Trust will put up the residents in a hotel for two weeks. One week of this will be played out. Then there will be a time jump of two weeks. This time jump will allow the characters to move from their hotel into their new apartments without having to completely go through the processes of moving in. This will also be a great time to retire or drop any characters, you of course do not have to. 

While we are hoping to do the event this Sunday the 17th, we are also completely willing to wait and start it on Friday the 22nd! Which date works best for you? Please leave an answer below.
