So I went and saw the show like 4 times in a week (was there on holiday from fucking Australia so I was really trying to cram as much Mis in there as possible)

And I’d stood at the stage door with a million other tourists, but I was there mostly to see Will??? Like I spoke to Jordan Shaw (who was very impressed w my tattoos), as well as Killian and Bradley, who mainly just moved down the line for photos bc they were In Demand, but as I was getting a photo w Killian, Will squeezed past to go get dinner

Which, I wasn’t stalking him, it was between matinee and evening shows, to be clear

Anyway not a stalker but I DID wait til everyone else was gone, and my thought was like… if he was alone/no AirPods in/etc I’d say hello, but if he was preoccupied I’d let it go. He comes back about 20 or so minutes later, and we make eye contact, and I go “can I bother you for a minute?” to which he responds “yes of course!!”

(So enthusiastic so sweet so relieving for me bc I was so worried about being a STALKER)

I mention that I’ve come from a million miles away and seen the show a stupid amount of times, and how he always steals the scene for me (he’s the Pimp in Lovely Ladies and the blind guy in MOTH, as well as others) but I adore his R.

He then immediately grabs my wrist and goes “so you know in the book where—” and starts talking abt the scene where R tries to recruit people and ends up playing dominoes, and how that’s the most influential scene for him, because it shows so much that R is trying and does at his core believe something good can happen but he is afraid of failing accidentally so he might just fail on purpose. He said how he’s read the brick and R’s ability to love and be joyful, and not just sad and drunk, is really special, and he loves getting to play it (bc it would be so easy to “just be a silly guy and then sleep”)

He also mentioned it’s really interesting playing off different actors, especially the different E’s. He didn’t mention more about Enj after that, which I thought was nice, bc so many R interpretations are wrapped up in Enj (which is obviously part of it, but his own feelings on a revolution are there too, and he’s not just cynical to be a prick, he’s cynical because he’s afraid and wants to be Good but doesn’t know how)

Will was also just so sweet and grateful about me seeing the show Too Many Times and saying how he was the focus for me the whole time (in the least weird way lmao). He said he feels so lucky to do the show and that Grantaire is such a special role and just generally, like, having the best time kind of stuff. Which, I would too.

I also saw him after the evening show and he gave a polite, I-recognise-you smile, but he was clearly walking off with two other people in the cast

(I went to the evening show that night too, and Jordan Shaw recognised me during bows and waved to me specifically bc I was in the front, which did make me die — the person next to me asked if he and I were real life friends HAHA)
