Any headcanons for the bunnies?

hello fellow tge fan!!! of course:

~heyna, emma, and kylen never marry

~nate settles down and starts a family after the war, and the surviving bracers live with them :D

~cole is an early bird and heyna is a night owl

~jo jr. and hanna teach a bunch of their friends starseek and it becomes a popular game

~post-war, maggie weaver becomes a therapist for war veterans

~cole is ambidextrous and can/does fight with two swords at once, and he’s actually better at swordfighting than picket (the blackstar soldiers literally had to attack him in groups for it to be a challenge for him lol)

~smalls loves classical music, and if pianos exist in natalia, he plays piano (he doesn’t get to during the time the series takes place but he does before and after it)

~heather actually doesn’t read physical books a ton, she prefers listening to people telling stories

~smalls is a bookworm though. and i feel like he’d like history and hearing about his ancestors. and he and his father-in-law like bond over history (and picket sometimes joins in)

~wilfred and airen adopt hewson’s kids and tell helmer jr. stories about his namesake (i didn’t come up with this headcanon btw)

I’ve never noticed until like my sixth re-reading of The Green Ember how amazing Wilfred is. No matter how dire the situation becomes, he’s cheerful and smiling. He encourages those who are more frightened, tells them they are doing well, and he sincerely means it. When Picket and Heather lose their home, all his attention is on them and what they need, and he does it with a smile. His fatherliness is most evident in his relationship with Smalls. Having been on the run since Smalls was a child, it’s understandable that Wilfred has developed a knack for being upbeat in miserable situations. And the way he constantly cares for Smalls is absolutely adorable. And he’s not just doing it because of duty—he truly loves the prince like a son. And since they’ve been on the run for so long, they’re closer to each other than to anyone else. They can practically communicate without speaking. They even have secret hand signals and calls!

okay on the front cover of the first book Heather is wearing a gray cape on top of the blue dress. I propose the cape was Wilfred's and he gives it to his frightened niece with a concussion during the boat ride. This way she can have her iconic outfit while they trek up the mountainside XD
